Handbound Books & Journals, Handcrafted in Burlington, Vermont
Made by hand, one at a time, using papers sourced from around the world, built to be kept for a lifetime, not a season.
A Craft Passed Down
Jordy learned bookbinding from her mother, a lifelong traveler whose hand-bound journals were filled with watercolor sketches from decades on the road. What started as a single lesson became a second craft, one she leaned into fully when her 15-year career as a wedding florist came to a sudden pause temporarily in 2020 due to Covid.
Every book is sewn, glued, and assembled by hand in her studio, with an exposed spine that shows the binding itself as part of the design.
No two are alike, because no two are made the same way twice.
Papers from Around the World
Each journal is bound using imported papers chosen for their origin as much as their look, Japanese Chiyogami prints, Nepalese Lokta paper, and Italian Florentine designs, so every book carries the culture it came from.
Pages are left blank, lined, or mixed media to suit writing, sketching, or watercolor work.
Journals: for writers, travelers, and anyone who thinks better with a pen in hand
