Jordy grew up on the southeast coast of Australia, where the bushlands, oceans, and beaches shaped how she sees the world. A gardener, surfer, and botanical artist first, floristry was the natural next step. She trained under master florists across Australia, Denmark, New York City, and Vermont, and spent years in the commercial florist industry before starting Heavenscent, a decision driven in large part by how much waste she saw firsthand in that world.

Heavenscent began in 2007, an avid gardener Jordy has a colorful flower garden and greenhouse at her home in Burlington, VT, she draws her inspiration from her daily walks in nature with her two ridgebacks. It is the same instincts for color, texture and design observed in the natural world that show up in every arrangement she designs.

We are based in Burlington, and we serve couples and families across Vermont and the Adirondacks: winter venues in Stowe, lakeside summer ceremonies, barn receptions in the Champlain Valley. What stays the same wherever we go is how we approach the work. It starts with a conversation, not a catalogue.
